"COLD"- Diagnosis and Treatment

-Edward Sensei will:
  • Teach theory, pathology, & treatment of "cold conditions", including  colds and flu, externally contracted diseases (Wind-Cold),           
                       and cold due  to Yang Deficiency
  • Draw on a variety of classical sources; particularly the Nan Jing, Su Wen    and Shang Han Lun. 


-You will:
  • Learn to recognise, understand, diagnose and treat  a myriad of Cold patterns. 
  • Treatment of Yang Deficiency patterns.
  • Tonification of Yang Qi.
  • How to restore the patient to healthy state when   they have received improper treatment.
  • Deepen your understanding of the syndromes as  described in the classics.
  • Expand your abilities and development, to enhance  clinical efficacy.
  • Learn the use of both fine needles and Chinese needles.
  • Practical experience in point selection, needling skills and moxa skills.

 It is Edward  Sensei's goal that no attendee leaves the seminar without  gaining a more solid foundation in classical theory and practical competence.


September 26
-An additional intermediate class will be held Monday the day after the three day seminar. This class is for the experienced practitioner and participants will have to satisfy a basic criteria** to attend. It will begin to introduce methods of self development of the practitioner, higher level techniques and training methods. The group numbers will necessarily be smaller and an extensive question and answer format will be used to encourage tailored individual progress. Topics that attendees wish to be covered should be submitted beforehand and Edward will endeavour to cover it during the course.
Beginners are encouraged to rigorously study the basics over the first 3 days. Those who fulfill the prerequisites are encouraged to also attend this extra class.

  • The basic criteria for attendance for the Intermediate 1 course is attendance 5 to 7 previous seminars taught by either Edward Obaidey Sensei or Masakasu Ikeda Sensei.
  • If you wish to attend but do not meet the criteria drop us a line, we will consider applications on an individual basis

*Cancellation and Refund Policy:  A refund will be given for cancellation requests received in writing by  9/07/16.
A $55 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds.
