Steven studied acupuncture at the University of Westminster in London where he gained a B.Sc Honours degree. He went to Japan to further his studies and, in 2003, began training under Edward Sensei.
Steven runs a busy practice in Sitges (near Barcelona) which he set up in 2009 after leaving Tokyo . His clinic is run along traditional lines with a number of beds.
Before studying acupuncture, Steve was a professional portrait photographer (with works exhibited in various famous london fine art galleries.)
“Being a former “artist” definitely helped me with what I do now. Before meeting Edward I was a better photographer than I was acupuncturist (and probably would have returned to work in this field had I not met Edward Sensei!) As in portrait photography, in this art you basically try to bring out the best in people. That’s what I enjoy. This is real link between my early career and why I now do acupuncture.”

Miki studied acupuncture and herbal medicine at the American college of TCM in San Francisco graduating with a MSTCM.
Miki met Edward Sensei during a visit to family in Tokyo in 2006. Through Edward, she became aware of Masakazu Ikeda and began to attend Ikeda Sensei’s seminars in the US.
She continues to study with Ikeda Sensei, and visits Edward Sensei’s clinic in Tokyo to learn whenever she has opportunity. She also attends Edward sensei’s seminars and has arranged a few of these herself.
She runs a small clinic in Silicon Valley, California.

Toby was inspired to study acupuncture though visiting Edward’s clinic in Tokyo as a patient from 2000-2003. During that time he attended Edward’s study-group and tai-chi practice. Gradually his visits to the clinic became more and more about study. In 2003 he moved to the UK to complete a BSc in Acupuncture. He then returned to Tokyo to apprentice under Edward for 6 years.
Toby runs a busy clinic in Wimbledon, London. In the last year he has been accepting apprentices, passing on the art and craft of acupuncture in the way he himself learned. Toby continues to study with Edward and has arranged 5 seminars in London, inviting Edward sensei and Masakazu Ikeda sensei’s to share their knowledge and skills more widely in Europe.
